G.T. Football Recruiting, 2017, (24).

I wonder if this happened in the first half....and he is back in their fold after the game ended(35 consecutive points, largest comeback in 123 years for the history of said program)....

Buzzforlife, on this first day of the new year I want to let you know how grateful I am that you man these recruiting threads that contain a mix of social media and info from your personal network. You make this place a must-visit-daily for this die hard Tech fan.

Thank you!

Isn't it amazing how much social media has evolved? You know with your own contacts that most of the news they are sharing happened "ten minutes ago" or you call them with a contribution, and they tell you "yes, I know blah, blah, blah is going to Montana St. instead of us".

So in reality, we get the information after someone else has it unless the recruit/family member is known personally. I don't want to violate any rules or divulge a silent commitment, as few as those are these days because it violates the source(also in another instance....especially for the kid who is trying to get his teammates looked at).

I appreciate your insights and the sharing of precious time(the other brothers from another G.T. mother, too!). I love this month, because we will get a recruit or two that would have been a fight to secure with competing schools having won their bowl game and us on a downward tick(should we have lost or coming off of a losing season).

The guys kicks a 70 yard FG with 5 yards to spare? Nah... Got to be some trick photography.

I wonder why other coaches didn't offer this guy a scholarship.

It shows a good leg, for sure. However, having kicked some, it's a lot different kicking off a tee alone on a field than off a snap and place under pressure. We'll see. I'm quite hopeful we have another Butker on hand.

He's been offered by many P5 schools. If you look back through our montage of posts in this thread, he was given much attention and deservedly so. Tape has him kicking the ball out of H.S. Stadiums. Footage of a ball traveling over 80 yards. Some have him the #1 kicker in the nation, another said last week he's the second best. Kicking in the top national all-star game, has the average G.T. fan jacked up.

Harvin, our commit at Punter, similar story. One service rated him #1.

With Shawn Davis #80 in practice last year, we should be good in reserve.
