G.T. Football Recruiting, 2017, (24).

Regarding 4-star Leonard Warner:

According to FSU’s 247 site, Warner is taking his official visit there this weekend with a likely OV to Stanford to follow.

He could make a decision shortly after that or elect to finish off with an official visit to UGA for the Tennessee game.

Whether he does take that OV to UGA or not, his taking the official visits this early is good news for the Dawgs. FSU, Stanford, and maybe Georgia Tech are thought to be the main competition here.

Tre and Bruce Swilling were leading the recruits, along with Coach Cook at the G.T.-Vandy game, along with T.D. Roof, Malik Willis.

Malik Willis will be on his official visit Thursday Night @G.T.

Gents.;
Please list any visitors you know about below for the Thursday game vs. Clemson. Hearing we will have a large contingent, even on a school night or distance requirement.

Thanks, have a wonderful short week!

With Miles out at LSU, I know thank Buddha we have the 2 Swilling brothers from Louisiana committed, but are there any others we are in the running for against LSU that his firing might - and I stress "might" - give us a better chance????

Don't Know

For the 2017 class, probably only one that I know of....
Brad Stewart, Jr.(a Corner, SS, type)out of New Orleans.

CBC has been recruiting the state of La.
To my knowledge LSU was not going after our other recruits, including the Nashville, Jacksonville areas. Seriously doubt the Campbell kid transfers.

Can't see it for this year. We are targeting the list remaining and that is an area out of state usually left for direct contacts/relationships previously designed for our travel budget.

Poaching their commitment list would be the angle, if we had any we were in contact with.

Yes, an Asst. Coach has been e-mailed this info.-

A lot of buzz around Joe Burke from Jenkins. The 2017 athlete has seemingly come out of nowhere this fall and looks like a prospect to watch for. Burke is built like a brick house at 6’1″, 220 pounds while also showing an explosive burst. We made his profile earlier this week and were very impressed with his ability to break tackles and maintain balance. Burke was announced as the Savannah Morning News Player of the Week on September 27th. His season is very reminiscent of that of Arkeem Byrd, who played last year at Jenkins, and ended up committing to Wake Forest despite late offers from Tennessee and Georgia Tech.
