I don’t know if we give Efford enough credit around here. Say what you want about any perceived lack of athleticism he may have or being in coverage issues, he seems to be the the leader as well as heart and soul of an improved defense this year. We just seem to be more physical when he is in the game. Kid plays with a ton of heart. Playing with that shoulder brace, sacked Ward, and hurt it again. Even then when he was walking off the field, he was trying to pump up the crowd with his one good arm. Kid’s a warrior.
For all the bad that can come with “mercenary” players, the transfer portal, NIL, and “business decision” plays, Efford and King and I’m sure many others on the team seem to give everything they have for their team on game day. Proud to be a fan of players like that.
