CPJ said they had a typical Monday, effort, correction and introduction. CPJ said he is not expecting any to miss the game.

CPJ said there were a lot of errors and the team helped them a lot by not playing well.

CPJ said the missed assignments when you don't guy to the right guy or step to the wrong guy. CPJ said missed blocks is when they whiff, said that was less of an issue but they had all of them, said Clemson is good at whipping blocks.

CPJ said Miami is similar, big inside, great athletes and good DL, expects it to be tough.

CPJ said they didn't have effort plays or dogging, said they have to do better with assignments and finishing blocks. Thought they were going in the right direction and they looked like BC again up front.

CPJ said he told the team to move on, worked on correcting, said himself, the players and coaches are all accountable, said it isn't the end of the season. Said people are jumping off buildings and they 3-1 and lost to #3 in the country who is pretty good. Said the offense didn't play particularly well in the loss, but Clemson beat GT and it happens.

CPJ said they haven't even started yet or played a division game, only coastal game has been Pitt-UNC so far.

CPJ said that Brad Kaaya is really good, throw bubble screens and downfield, said it is just like UGA was, said quasi-UGA.

CPJ said the defense played much better in the second half, said 1st half third downs weren't great, said the offense hung the defense out to dry in the first half which didn't help matters. Gave up 350 yards in first half, different story in second half.

CTR said they are working on fixing what is causing the issues on the opening drive of games, said he didn't want to talk about what the issues are publicly, just need to do a better job. CPJ said they want to start better on defense, got to start better.

CTR said the nature of Clemson's offense causes issues, but they need to play better and tackle better against Miami who has similar athletes.

CTR said the three Miami RBs are putting up huge numbers, said they have to decide whether to load the box or light and gamble some to help the secondary.

CTR said that Kaaya is really good at seeing the field and throwing the deep ball, said he is salty and handles pressure well.

CTR said they played 23 guys on defense last Thursday, said it was a lot and all those game reps are like gold for the backups.

CTR said that Todd Stansbury, was a hard-nosed worker and physical. Said he has a lot of respect for him.

CTR said the LB blitzing has improved a lot, still tipping it too much at times, but it has been much more effective.

Lamont Simmons talked about how he needs to tackle better, but said he is finally hitting his stride, he hadn't played much football in two years after going to USC and transferring to GT, said he is getting back to where he wants to be.

Francis Kallon said that Pat Gamble is playing really well. Talked about how the DL rotation has helped them a lot and they are playing the run in particular better because of it.

CMP talked about how the defensive line needs to get more pressure, but the run defense has been good because of effort.

CMP said he feels like the DL is better overall than it was last year, but they are still a work in progress.

CMP said that this week they have to get pressure on Kaaya to keep the heat off the DBs.

Victor Alexander said that last year CTR tried to install 100-plus calls for the defense and instead this year he is installing what they need week to week and that is making the difference on why they playing faster and the fits are better in the run game.

Vic said he is working on getting his eyes in the right place, that is a big issue.

Corey Griffin said what happened on the fumbled interception is he jumped over Mike Williams who fell down and Lance's arm just happened to be where his knee went.
