Even though the 2016 class was nice, only one of our signees was rated a 4 star on any site. He ended up being a consensus 3 on average, like the other two that Tech inked. Not that Stars mean the entire world in recruiting, but in hoops we did get the elite players in our past(fewer studs than football, and more teams participating at the higher level). This is one of the more gratuitous bounties in this fine High School area of the Nation.

My basket contact tells me Bob has offered up some of his staff for certain help. He does have administrative support in the Basketball Office.

He recruited good student athletes at Memphis. The APR was the same as ours. Now, I'm not comparing academics at a liberal arts college(if that is what Memphis is)vs. the top engineering school in the P5.

Heard him say how careful he must be in bringing top flight SA's who can play at the highest level. Being great at this job requires way more than what you describe or looking at film. The relationship he has with the above mentioned young man goes back to when he met the family, determined he could fit in the running game which is very offensive minded, will be a coachable teammate, and can graduate(here, now).

One mistake, you get Heyward at the point...two you end up with Jorgy(although that knee had something to do with that miss)...and three you find Heath can't make it, we need to move MGH.
