G.T. Football Recruiting, 2017, (24).

Tucker, a rising senior out of Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard that spent all of Saturday morning on the Yellow Jackets' campus, simply fell in love with everything that Paul Johnson's program has to offer, both on the field and in the classroom.
"I felt at home," Tucker told Scout. "I really liked the way the defensive backs worked in practice, and the coaches showed me a lot of love. I also fell in love with the campus.
"I really like their education program; it's equally important to them as football is. The coaches were happy, a few of them were yelling."

10 stars defensive player , GTJT may give you more but if you get over 10 stars you have to play on the DL.

I'm going with 9 7/8 stars. I'm withholding 1/8 of a star because I have a family member from Ocala and he's a douche.

The announcement prior to the announcement, way before the official signing, has Ga. Tech out of the picture. One less for prime time drama!

Looking good in that Bears uni. Hope it happens. Free education. Great education. Rising football program which could be on the cusp of making the playoffs (D1AA does it right, just like practically every other real sport) and within 4 years perhaps a national title run.

Looks like Minnihan reranked to a 3*. Stech, where does that put him on your ranking?

How many stars if he is redshirted the first year, plays on my "scout field team"?
I'll man him up for a year, trade him to you for one of those hot wives you are storing.

11 stars, GTJT may not because he plays offense.

I'm being frugal with the stars because not only is he an offensive (npi) player like you said, but we have a lot more commits on the horizon and Christmas is not far off now either. Plus, my daughter's 22nd birthday is at the end of this month and I may want to give her a couple of stars.

So, I'm giving Mr. Minnihan 8 1/2 stars. Subject to change of course.

....and another FCA that Ga. Tech has an interest in.

Severe! Man, I'm glad I'm not your daughter.

I still have straight knees, but I believe GTJT is straight and married.
Forgive the smut talk, I really came over to this thread to say that CLO is coming in a little late on Fenton, because he knows several of our guys like Jalen Johnson and other future recruits from that region.

Sorry to leave that out, I was tired when having had that lead from earlier in the day. Hoping that is the right kid being reported on. This is a very, very recent happening.

The 11th-ranked defensive end in the state of Florida, Chris Whittaker, has scheduled his first official visit with two additional visit destinations in mind.

Chris Whittaker continues to scan through his collegiate options in hopes of using up multiple official visits, but recently took a step in the right direction after finalizing his first official visit with a school that's already left their mark with one of his teammates at Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna.
Whittaker, a 6-foot-3.5, 245-pound rising senior and Scout's 11th-ranked defensive end in the Sunshine State, is a current teammate of 2017 Kentucky three-star wide receiver commit, Joshua Ali.
"Just Kentucky on the 17th of September," Whittaker said when asked about his official visit plans. "I'm looking for dates for the other schools.
"I know of South Carolina and Georgia Tech right now."

AnalysisWhittaker is one junior defender in the trenches that passes the eye test with his physical makeup at 6-foot-3.5, 245 pounds. Whittaker is a strong young man that provides a thud at the point of attack, and really does a nice job of setting the edge and playing with discipline. His motor and ability to pursue the ball from the backside catches your attention as well. Finding some go-to moves and working on his burst off the line should be areas of improvement moving forward.

UK offensive coordinator Eddie Gran has a reputation for sealing the deal and capturing top-notch talent out of Florida, especially down in Whittaker's stomping grounds of South Florida.
"Coach Gran has been huge in my recruitment," Whittaker said. "Just from the communication; he has been texting and calling me every day to every other day about practice, my potential impact, and just stuff outside of football.
"That's been great, and I'm definitely looking forward to the visit."
Whittaker has already been exposed to life as a Gamecock after making the trek up to Columbia back on June 13, but hopes to reconnect with some familiar faces sooner rather than later.
"Coach (Will) Muschamp is a very busy guy, but still manages to text me," Whittaker said. "I have conversations with him and just talk about training camp.
"Also, (defensive line) coach (Lance) Thompson is a very good coach and mentor for me."
Whittaker, who's equipped with additional offers from Notre Dame, North Carolina, Georgia, NC State, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee among others, isn't quite ready to serve up any clear-cut leaders.
"My top school is being determined right now," Whittaker said. "I haven't figured out the pros and cons of each school and what's best for me."

While it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, South Carolina has likely suffered another loss from its 2017 baseball recruiting class. Right-handed pitcher Brady Scott (Powder Springs, Ga./Mount Paran Christian School) is going to explore his football options without being bound to South Carolina baseball.

Scott, who holds eight football offers, had a conversation with Gamecocks head baseball coach Chad Holbrook earlier this week and the two agreed it would be good for Scott to take a look at his options.

Florida State and Mississippi State are the standouts, but home town school Georgia Tech has also offered. Wake Forest is his other current Power 5 school offer.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--- Georgia Tech has manufactured and pumped out a countless amount of NFL players over the years, but for Demetris Harris, a three-star offensive guard, it was Atlanta's "business opportunities" that truly sealed the deal in his recruitment.

Evaluation Notes:
Demetris Harris, 6-foot-3, 275 pounds, is a rugged interior offensive lineman that's at his best when locking onto his opponent in the run game. He can continue to work on his pad level and flexibility, but flashes impressive drive-blocking ability and is always on the lookout for contact.
Harris is also a high-character young man that takes well to coaching and picks things up quickly. He's not the most explosive guard across the map, but really makes up for it with his intelligence, motor and tenacity.

Tech on the lookout:
