G.T. Football Recruiting, 2016.

Visited GT last February on the 14th. Also, Ga. State had a visit.
Has 10 offers which might keep him away from being a PWO at Tech:

Great news! Thanks, mate.

Welcome to the Tech Family, Mr. Anderson. Very wise decision.

Work for 4 years, then party the rest of your life. Don't party for 4 years, then work the rest of your life.

DEMETRIS ROBERTSON, Savannah Christian, sr., DB

Robertson, a 5-star recruit and one of the most sought-after players in the country, was named the Region 3-A (East) Player of the Year. He had a pair of interceptions and 41 tackles and also starred on offense for the Raiders. He rushed for 1,043 yards and had 126 yards receiving with 13 total touchdowns.

We need a kicker. And, a punter. If he can do both and put KOs in the endzone then it is definitely worth a ship IMO.

Shawn Davis was redshirted this year. He was unbelievable at Union Grove. Thinking he will be a fine replacement for HB. I have seen him punt too. He should challenge Rodwell in 2016.

Kiel Pollard
One of the early offers sent out by Will Muschamp after taking over at USC was to WR Kiel Pollard (6-1 228) of Moultrie, GA who currently is committed to Arkansas.
Pollard was a major reason his team won two straight 6A state championships and finished this season ranked #2 in the USA Today poll. He had 76 catches for 1163 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named the 6A offensive player of the year in Georgia.
“I think I’m going to take a look at it, take a look into it and see what happens,” Pollard said of the USC offer. He has taken one official visit to Arkansas. He’s also looking at USC for an official visit.
Pollard said he’s also been in touch with Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Auburn. He’s been communicating with Gamecock running backs coach Bobby Bentley.
“He told me that Coach Muschamp really liked me and he told me to come down there and compete,” Pollard said.
Pollard called his commitment strength to Arkansas right now at about 99%.

Quintez Cephus(looking like football over hoops):
Considering his hometown, this could get interesting should the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets decide to pull the trigger on offering Cephus, but for now, rejoice Badger fans! Cephus could end up being an extremely sneaky pick-up who could pay major dividends down the road.

Cephus is the 21st-known verbal commit to Wisconsin's class of 2016.

We are 22 hours into 2016 and this staff has not reeled in a commitment this year for placekick holders. Very discouraging. This staff once again exhibits a lackadaisical attitude towards recruiting that position. You'd think before NYD we would have at least 3 4- or 5-star placekick holder recruits committed, but after striking out before NYD I thought for sure by 10pmET on NYD they'd be lining up. Our staff just doesn't get it.

Rashad Torrence II, Douglasville(middle school was Woodward Academy, College Park):

Peeking in at a live stream from Jupiter, Fla. yesterday, I was so impressed with his Football Hotbed performance. He will be the premiere DB locally in 2020. Very strong Student Athlete! Like the 2017 Off. Center, T. Fannin, his pad level is excellent. This is usually a weakness among position players as a younger prospect.

Interview with Demetris Robertson... https://www.dawgnation.com/football...leads-but-that-he-has-a-surprise-for-uga-fans

He said if the opportunity with Stanford does not materialize with that 100-point increase on his test score, then his decision comes down to Georgia, Alabama and Georgia Tech. He said his mother really likes the thought of him going to Georgia Tech.

I'm not getting any hopes up with this young man. But, I do admire his drive and excitement of trying to get into Stanford and obtain a (potentially) meaningful education.

Romeo Finley says Tech is the favorite...

http://www.scout.com/college/footba...-no-31-safety-romeo-finley-sets-two-officials

The first school that will get a crack at Finley is Georgia Tech, who will be bringing the defensive back to campus for an official visit on Jan. 15. Finley will take additional trips and compare the pros and cons, but the Yellowjackets are in great shape to say the least.

"Georgia Tech is the favorite and I like everything about them," Finley said. "I expect the visit to be great. With the defense they run and me working hard and competing, I can be an immediate impact. I also have a strong relationship with coach (Ted) Roof, the defensive coordinator."

In the words of my late Granddad (aka, The Redneck Philosopher)...

...it is much better to be a smart ass than a dumb ass.

Steve Sylvester has taken an Asst. Coaching position at Jacksonville Univ.(played LB for GT, #34), and is being replaced by Tevin Washington as a G.A. on the offensive side of the ball.
