Wake Forest buys out of 2025 football game at Ole Miss
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have bought out of their 2025 football game at the Ole Miss Rebels, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin announced.

Wake will pay $750K to avoid the blowout loss. They had to do it prior to Friday or the fee would escalate to $1 million. Wake plays 3 patsies next year Kennesaw State, Western Carolina & Delaware and will surely look for a 4th. Cowardly for sure, but it’s smarter to scheudle that way than the Todd Stansbury model of purposely going 1-3 in non-conference play just for a bump in attendance.
