I spoke to 2017 Bishop O'Connell big man Nate Watson III today and he mentioned that he is hearing from Georgia Tech. Watson admitted that he did not know much about the program but liked that it was in the ACC.
He listed USC, Xavier, Georgetown, Maryland, Georgia Tech and Clemson as the schools he hears from the most. Watson said that USC texts him every day -- either one of their assistants or the head coach. He also added that West Virginia and St. Joseph's send him a lot of mail.
Now that he is playing in one of the most competitive HS basketball conferences in the country, Watson will be seen by more college coaches who do in-season recruiting. He also reclassified from 2018 to 2017 at the beginning of the school year.
Watson is averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game.
