It was a productive trip to the camp as I got several interviews with potential Georgia Tech prospects despite it being a bit of a chaotic scene after each of the three sessions and trying to track down the players I wanted to talk to in a huge crowd of people while also competing with other recruiting site writers, both Rivals and the other two big boys in the business.
But I will say just to reiterate what we've kind of talked about in the past several months is that Brent Key and staff have definitely elevated how Georgia Tech is thought of by recruits, high school coaches, camp instructors and other recruiting writers/analysts. I know that from conversations I had with several people there and through my chats with several of the targets. So the groundwork has definitely been laid for strong recruiting classes in 2026 and beyond.
Anyway, it's been a bit of a busy morning for me today that included a trip to the dentist (always a fun and welcomed addition to the schedule), but I will be working on pumping these stories out from Sunday's UA Camp interviews today and over the next few days. Sorting out interviews, I should have stories coming up on Zachary Lewis, Jared Smith, JJ Bush, Jayreon Campbell, Kaden Carter, Kentrell Davis, Corey Barber and possibly Dana Greenhow (I might have to stretch that one a little bit as he wasn't the most talkative kid).
I also talked with Chad Fairchild, Bubba Frazier, Billy Weivoda and Mason Holtzclaw just to touch base after we did bigger stories on them recently coming off Junior Day visits. All four of those are still very high on Georgia Tech, and I could see them in the class at some point if things pan out the way I think.
