CPJ said that he does not think they will do any additional surgery on Chris Griffin, said either it will heal or he will be done. On Jake Whitley he said they are waiting for him to be cleared or not by the medical staff and if he isn't then he will go on a medical scholarship and if he is cleared he will have to practice.


CPJ said that Will Bryan looks like a starter left guard in the season. Said he was very pleased with how Will and how Eason Fromayan (left tackle) have come along lately.


Andrew Marshall said that Ron West is mostly coaching the offensive tackles. Said that he has put in footwork and other drills to help the guys get in better position for pass protection.


JT said that he noticed that all the work the OL has been doing is paying off now and the new pass protection techniques worked last Saturday.


Andrew Marshall said that the pass protection has been better due to some drills that CRW is teaching them. said they did not make major changes scheme wise or anything.


Andrew Marshall said he is gunning for a starting job at either center, guard or tackle in the fall, said he doesn't care where it is, just wants to play. Hinted that he could play center if they wanted to move Freddie Burden to RG. CPJ said that Marshall looks better at center than anywhere else.


CPJ said that he thinks Mikell Lands-Davis will stay at WR, says he catches the ball well and he can really block, plus there is a logjam at A-back and B-back.


CPJ said that Matthew Jordan and TaQuon Marshall will trade reps as the #2 offense QB on Saturday.


JT said that TaQuon Marshall is further along in the offense than he was in his first spring at GT, JT said that playing last year really has helped TaQuon get ready. Compared TaQuon to himself in terms of quickness.


JT said that Matthew Jordan is a tough runner and will have a role in the fall.


JT said his legs are feeling good and he feels as good as he has in a while.


JT said the offense is doing better because of the comfort level of the skill guys around him.


CPJ said he hasn't noticed a difference this spring compared to any other spring.


CPJ said that injury wise he has been pretty pleased with how things are going, he knocked on wood.


CPJ said he thinks the pass protection is better than it was last year.
