D.J. White said this game is huge for him with a lot of Bulldogs in his family so he can say he went out with a win against UGA. Said he is unsure how he will feel but says despite the crapiness of the he can play his final game in Bobby Dodd Stadium and to g out with a win over UGA would be extra special.
Tyler Stargel said he hasn’t been the same since his shoulder surgery and that is why he wants to graduate and move on from football.
Jamal Golden said UGA is probably the most like GT offensively in terms of being run heavy team and he expects them to try to punch GT in the mouth running the ball and the D is going to punch back.
Jamal said the toughest part of the year is seeing how close they are to turning the corner and winning much of these games.
AJ Gray said this is the biggest game of the year and he isn’t interested in hearing people mouth’s back home if GT loses.
CTR said that Sony Michel and Nick Chubb have some similarities and Sony is more of a home run, UGA has tons of confidence in him which was obvious by what happened in overtime.
CTR said that he has a lot of respect for his seniors and the way they have carried themselves this year. Said they have played a lot of good football for Georgia Tech and he hopes they can go out with a special win.
CTR said that Anree Saint-Amour is really coming on and they are going to continue giving him a bigger role. Said he really likes how he is developing for the future.
CTR said that Pat Gamble has done a nice job leading the DL since Adam Gotsis went down, said that Pat has raised his game up.
CTR said the defensive staff will focus on recruiting and self evaluation with the extra time
CTR said J.J. Green has been really impressive all year as the scout team RB.
CTR said that UGA is similar to the offenses under Bobo but the play calls are a little different and the shots downfield in the passing game have been different. Said they like to use different guys at the wildcat and have some things lined up when they do lineup like that so guys aren’t scrambling.
CPJ said he hopes that Matthew Jordan picked up some confidence from the Miami game. CPJ said he thinks that Justin Thomas will play Saturday.
CPJ said he only thinks a few more guys will leave early like Tyler Stargel with eligibility remaining and he said most are not scholarship guys. Said those discussions start after final exams. He meets with every player on the roster personally.
