CBC said that Justin Thomas is still making some terrible decisions. He said some were overcome last year by great plays by Smelter or Waller or the RBs, but this year he can't do some of the things he does like throwing off his back foot into double coverage and other things.

Justin is pretty banged up, this is the most he has played in a row during his career and they are limiting some of his workload in practice. Justin says he needs to cut down on his own mental mistakes.

CBC said losing Patrick Skov just prior to kickoff was a huge issue. He was a major part of the game plan and it put them in a bind with Marcus Marshall because of Marshall's blocking issues. Said Marshall has to learn to play better without the ball both carrying out fake and blocking in pass pro and in the option/run game.

CBC did say he is seeing progress with both.

CRR talked about how the players are trained to not pick up the ball unless it is the last play of the game if the ball is blocked beyond the LOS. Jamal Golden was the one who convinced Lance Austin to pick it up because he was unsure.

CRR said that many of the interior guys thought the play was over and were drifting the sidelines like they are taught and then they created a wall as they are taught to when Lance was running. CRR said it works out like a punt return left basically.

CRR said that both Pat Gamble and Adam Gotsis had been very close to blocking them.

CRR said that Tyler Marcordes actually made two huge plays on the block, helping take out a block on the kick and then blocking two FSU players at the same time to help free Lance.

CRR said he was unaware the last blocked FG against FSU came from his Maryland unit 9 years ago. That also won the game Terps.

Brad Stewart said he actually wasn't sure it was fourth down on his catch on the switch route down the sideline that set up the tying FG. Stewart said he also momentarily lost the ball in the lights. Said they had practiced that play so much that week it was no big deal when CPJ called it.

CMS said that Will Bryan is continuing to work hard, but is still making some freshmen mistakes. Expect the three tackle rotation to continue going forward. Errin Joe doing a lot more RG this week along with Trey Klock as Shamire Devine is in red.

CBC said that the timeout issues with Justin is some communication between Justin and the other players and some the other players needing to echo calls better. Said they are working on trying to fix that so they don't have to waste timeouts.

CRR said there is a really nice rhythm between Casey Wilson, Ryan Rodwell and Harrison Butker right now on FGs, said he hopes it will continue and that Butker is as talented as any kicker in the country.

D.J. White missed the game with an ankle injury, he got hurt last Wednesday and should be ready to start this week against UVA. Unsure on Demond Smith (foot injury), he has been battling the foot and that is what caused him to miss the Pitt game. Everyone in the secondary other than AJ Gray is expected to play on Saturday. Waiting to hear an exact timeline on A.J.

The players were talking about building momentum to run the table with a win over UVA. They are very hyped up for the trip this weekend.
