CLO talked a lot about how well the other coaches have bought in to helping with special teams. Said he was really happy with J.J. Green and the kick return unit to bust one finally. Said that both J.J. Green at KR and Brad Stewart at PR have been doing really well, GT in to the top 10 in both return groups for the first time in a long time. Said that Harrison Butker and the FG/XP unit is doing really well as well.

Clinton Lynch talked about how he keeps his cool on the field and that is why he plays so well and so hard.

Justin Thomas said that the pass protection is much better than last year and the CPJ tweaked things to give him more time after the Miami issues keeping more guys in for protection and that made a huge difference in the Pitt game. Said that Ricky Jeune and Brad Stewart making those catches also backed off the Pitt defense and they have to keep doing stuff like that all season.

Parker Braun said he played all but three snaps in the Pitt game and felt great. Said he was out for three pass plays on one drive. Said that he feels way more comfortable in the offense.

Freddie Burden and Justin Thomas both said the offense is finally clicking and they think they have some nice momentum finally on that side of the ball. Said that should come to light this week.

All of the players said they did a nice job of flushing what happened at Pitt and are just trying to get a win this week.

CPJ told the team that this is Georgia Southern's Super Bowl so you have to be ready for them to give you their best game of the year.

CMS said that on the fourth and short play at the end of the Pitt game, none of the coaches could see that the splits were wrong on the OL otherwise they would've called a timeout. Said that is what cause the big blowup on the line.

CMS said that Shamire Devine's ankle is still bothering him and they could only play him a handful of snaps and he wasn't healthy enough to play on the aforementioned fourth and short because he was really hurting.

I asked about Brad Morgan, CMS said he is still messing up some plays, but he is close to the point where they could use him in the rotation.

CMS said the offensive tackle position is still rough, Jahaziel Lee may have to play more this week.

CMS said that Kenny Cooper is ready to play and he would be the #2 center if there was an issue with Freddie. Said the games haven't been out of hand enough or comfortable enough to put him in yet because they can't afford to miss a turn on offense.

CMS's son plays at GSU, said that he hasn't talked much with him this week because of the game, but his family will be pulling for GT.
