Russell thought it would be a good idea to have a 2022 thread for MLS, or any other soccer talk, since this is opening weekend here in the States.
Great start to the season for ATL UTD today with their 3-1 win over a good Sporting KC club….despite us having 6 starters out including the new DP in Thiago Almada. Plus, when Luiz Araujo scored the opening goal about 15 minutes in he had to leave the game with a pulled hamstring.
Great crowd and energy today…Andrew Gutman’s defensive play at LB got an ovation from the crowd…and 17-year old Caleb Wiley from Atlanta got a goal in his debut MLS game today.
There is a lot to be excited about!
