Road game at UVA on Thursday...

Imani Tilford followed up a Zaire O'Neil missed shot with 2 seconds in O.T., by getting fouled after a miss w/0.9 seconds left....she did not make either free throw...and UVA left as the victor, 65-64.

Ga. Tech overcame a 22 point deficit, and actually led by one point in the overtime period.

Since I researched data for the Hivers, when it was brought up that we might fire CMJ next year if she doesn't go to the NCAA Tournament....thought I'd post her record here...


I think she stays, no matter if Tech goes to the Big Dance next year. Going back to 2006:

I won't bring up prior history to her being here, because those coaches did their best and we only had one N.I.T. Championship to show for all of those years. When C.M.J. defeated the Mutts as an Asst. Coach/Head Recruiter, it was our first win against them & only our second NCAA bid as a program. As Head Coach, she's made the series much more competitive.

Tough OT loss to a ranked NC St. team last night. Zaire had a career high 28 pts. I thought she kept the defense sagging down low on her, although we didn't hit the 3's like they did.

Tory Cook did not dress for the fourth straight game. Personal issues.
In the recruiting thread, you can see we are looking at a few H.S. Senior PG's(to go with Cummings).

GTWBB surges on with a nice 14 point win over Pitt. today(Baseball won, Softbees won, Men's Tennis won, already)!
Tough season with Pan having torn a groin muscle, Pugh was denied a regular hardship/having to await her transfer eligibility time for Winter Semester, Cook having personal issues and E.E. trying to fit in the lineup after a sit out season making for a two-year reprieve. Not sure what has happened to Kat's game?

Senior Night....
