Georgia Tech football will invite all fans in for the first time this spring with the annual spring game on Thursday night. The format and structure of the spring game is still being kept under wraps, but the Jackets in the past have had some individual practice elements mixed with 11v11 periods in a live scrimmage setting. JOL expects that to be the case again tonight.

As is typical with spring several players will miss the game due to injuries suffered last season and extended recovery from that as well as guys who got dinged this spring that will sit out with various minor injuries however they have enough bodies healthy to run two groups on both sides of the ball with a few extra walk-on OLs.

Part of the process of installing Chip Long's new offense and having Clemson to open the season is GT keeping some things under wraps hence the somewhat closed practices. I expect you will see a few fun elements but not the whole offense tonight.

Defensively it will look similar to the last few years, but you should be able to notice some changes in how they lineup and how the secondary plays in particular.

A couple of guys to keep an eye on for GT fans that they have not seen in a game yet or seen play much, Daylon Gordon the walk-on RB, freshman WR DJ Moore, transfer TE Luke Benson, DT D'Quan Douse (didn't play much last year), Khari Gee at NB and S Jaylin Marshall.

Not sure if they will kick, that is still a work in progress and they are looking forward to getting Aidan Birr on campus.
