This is mostly focus on Jeff Sims as we assume he will be the starter. That's pretty set. I think this stat will be very important for him/us this year. Last year in 8 games he threw just 12 TD's or roughly 1.5 TD's per game. That came in tied with several others at 84th best. Although some of the QB's he is tied with there played a full season. If you extrapolate the 1.5 TD's per game over 4 more games, he would have been around the 18 TD mark +/-1. Which would be good for 57th in the country.
Most of the better programs in CFB were QB driven. The very top getting 3 TD's per game (Bryce Young (47), CJ Stroud (44), Kenny Pickett (42)). Successful upper bowl type teams their QB's were at 2 TD's per game (Malik Willis (27), Sam Howell (24), Desmond Ridder (30)).
Let's set it at 24. Let's go for 2 TD's per game.
