GT 33 sometimes posts on this site. His dad was one of the best QBs in Tech history, Jimmy Southard who just passed away.
The record book shows him to be one of the top five passing effiency QBs in Tech history.
As much as anything, old timers remember how Southard played injured in the UGA game in 1949 and scored our only touchdown in a 7-6 win.
That win, BTW, was the first win of an eight year streak of Tech wins over UGA known as THE DROUGHT.
RIP. Condolences to GT 33.
