Exchanged a few messages this morning with Lodge coming off his visit to Georgia Tech yesterday.
He said about the visit..."It went very well."
About what stood out from the visit and his time spent with Tech coaches..."I really liked what they are doing offensively, and the coaches are all great."
About his visit plans and timeline for decision..."I’m finishing up my visits this week. Right now I’m at Virginia Tech. But I’m looking to make my decision soon."
Lodge said he would give me a heads up when his final decision date is set.
At this point, I believe Georgia Tech would take the commitments of Lodge and JT Byrne from Cal for two tight ends in this portal class. The more depth the better for a position where the Jackets are losing three to graduation and have uncertainty coming back elsewhere in the room from injuries.
