Been hearing some interesting names pop up for both assistant coaching and OPS jobs. CJP has said he will take his time with the hires. I expect him to try and get one guy in soon then work on the rest.

Former GT assistant and GaSouthern HC Charlton Young (currently at FSU). Young makes a lot of money which could be an issue, but there is mutual interest there and he is not in line to replace Leonard Hamilton when he retires and he loves recruiting the Atlanta area and has a soft spot for GT.

Mike Schrage (Stanford) was on Johnny Dawkins staff and the recruiting coordinator. He is from Atlanta and was the Cardinal's recruiting coordinator. Lifelong GT fan, would be a dream job for him.

Cabral Huff (Alcorn State) former St. Francis coach has a few years of college assistant and has a ton of experience in the Atlanta area and as a coach. Would be a huge help with recruiting.

Sharman White (Miller Grove HS) extremely well-respected HS coach. Is on the fast track to getting a college job with someone. Everyone knows him and he is really strong with the GA recruiting scene.
p
Jesse McMillan (Norcross HS) played at Mercer grew up SC, has been the coach at Norcross since 2008. Well-respected guy. Knows the area well.

PROBABLY OUT

Bobby Lutz (NC State) Xs and Os guy who was HC at UNC-Charlotte, has NC recruiting ties and is no in an office role after being forced off the bench for the Wolfpack.

Chad Dollar (GT) Dollar is currently on staff and he has a mixed reputation locally. He may have been a victim of his boss' inability to recruit big time kids, but I think it is unlikely he is kept around. Dollar also coached the guards which wasn't a strong point for GT under BG.

Mamadou Ndiaye (GT) The big men were the only consistent group under BG's regime and he has a knack for landing high academic kids from Africa that can survive at GT. Haven't heard much about him staying

Tom Herrion (GT) He was supposed to help settle things down for BG staff wise and give him more Xs and Os which he did, but it wasn't enough to save the staff. Again I think CJP makes a clean sweep.

Bruce Evans (GT) Bruce has been the Director of Player Development since 2012 and has done a nice job, well-liked guy, but this could be a spot to park a strong potential recruiter who isn't ready to sit on the bench.
