While there were no commitments immediately after Georgia Tech's first official visit weekend, it wasn't exactly a bust for the Jackets. Georgia Tech had four uncommitted targets on campus and a bunch of commits there helping woo future teammates while securing their own spots.

Here is what we've heard regarding each non-committed target

Michael Smith- had a great time, his mom and grandmother accompanied him and they prefer GT to Pitt, Smith wants to visit Wazzu, but neither his mom or grandmom want him to go. There is a hard push now for him to commit to GT and it makes the most sense for the family. His mom cancelled his Notre Dame official visit supposedly. Working on tracking Michael down.

Antwan Owens- there was a decent chance he was going to flip with this visit and now GT is working on closing the deal. He brought his family and that is why they pushed the visit from December to Jan. He is very close to pulling the trigger and is a guy to watch over the next 7-10 days for a commit for GT. Supposed to hear back from Antwan soon.

Aliki Vimahi- Vimahi had a great time, still the biggest hurdle to deal with is the Polynesian thing with the three other schools in the mix. Vimahi told the GT staff he will take all five OVs before announcing anything, but the word on the street is in they are very much in the mix.

Jordan Ponchez-Mason- Parents want him to commit to GT asap, Jordan wants to announce on NSD, so this could end up in a silent commitment situation much like a couple of kids in 2015 or 2014 that just don't say anything until Feb. He does not talk to anyone, so it will be interesting getting his side of the story.
