We definitely have a lot of stuff to work on and biggest thing is being in playing shape. You have been doing conditioning all summer and running but it is different with pads on. We have to keep pushing through the kids have bought in.

On JT

He just has an understanding and execution of this offense that is impressive. He is a great leader as well.

On last year not looking back and looking forward

For the freshmen and the young guys we need to make sure we don't rest on our laurels and we want to look forward and not back. That is something that is hard to put into practice and that is where the senior class has been working.

On JT's deeper understanding

You see some brilliant reads and you learn how the offense works, you can appreciate how he makes it, you see how 9 out of 10 times a QB would give it and he keeps it and gets a big gain, we've had a lot of success running and play-action passes.

On new backfield

That is something that is something we have been working on and an opportunity for someone to step up and last year a lot of those guys who hadn't played a lot. Synjyn played QB, AB and BB, Patrick is a guy who is eager to play the offense and be better, we see that with the WRs as well and them fighting for it

On SR goals

I wrote down some before camp, main thing is OL goals, to be a leader there. As an OL we have come up with some goals, I feel comfortable in those goals, lead nation in rushing and 3rd down efficiency. That is something we talk about playing as an unit and keep going up.

On being a grad student and husband and juggling things

The MBA has been a culture shift from doing your undergrad and there are really a lot of profs here that are understanding and helpful and allow me to do my work when I can and they make me do it. My wife is understanding as well. I want to make an impact on this part of my life.

On bringing back 4 OLs and losing Shaq

There is no way to replace a guy like Shaq he brought something unique and special to the OL.

On his impression of Snoddy's return

he is a senior leader and has a lot to offer the team and doing a lot, he will make a big impact for us.

On who took him under his wing

Omoregie Uzzi would help me and one day he got frustrated with me and he apologized to me and made sure I understood I was important too.

On 18 seconds left in the UGA game

It was so surreal, it has to be hard watch, we were all supremely confident and I was confident that JT would get the yards we need and we would get a chance at the kick.

TYLER MARCORDES

On his role at LB

I'm still in the same spot, I was behind Quayshawn at middle and now I'm up there. We have a lot of good guys on defense.

On attacking the ball

That is something we want to carry over, fast, physical and together and hopefully we can carry that over into making plays.

On improving D

Communication and practice how we want to play in the games. We started to practice harder and come together as a unit and 3rd down efficiency is something we are focused on.

On DL

It is a strength this year and I didn't have OLs on me like usual, so I was able to read plays better. I think we have a lot of depth and some talented freshmen.

On the scrimmage

The DL was getting push and keeping the OL off us and they couldn't cut us and allowed us to make plays and reads.

On CTR being more aggressive

I think that is something we will carry over and that helps a lot moving forward and putting more stuff and much more further along than last year.

On freshmen LBs

Lot of guys heads are spinning, we have seniors coming back. Guys are coming up and they are doing pretty well, I would be lost if it was me.

On B-backs

A lot of guys, new guys there this year. A lot of guys had good reps and couple of freshmen surprised me running the ball. The effort they were playing with, a lot of these freshmen are making plays.

ERRIN JOE

On scrimmage

A lot of things to work on, this was one of the best first camp scrimmages. One thing I picked up we were one block, one assignment away from breaking some big plays, making sure we go five at a time and have four block and one doesn't do the job we don't get it job. Will Bryan did good a job in particular.

On goals

CRR set that as a goal for us as a OL, leading the nation in rushing and he saw a plaque and said that should be our goal every year. 3rd down O and D is something that should be our goal, we want to be first, but top 10, do what we are supposed to do. Rush OL plaque is in our meeting room.

On controlling 1st and 2nd down

We have this attitude you are not going to beat us on first and second down and then third down will be easier.

On expectations for this year

We want to flush last year that was last year and this is this year. We want to keep it moving, I keep telling the right guards we don't need to fill his shoes, just do your job. We build that foundation and do better than last year. We want to carry that momentum into this year.

On different RBs having success

I think Qua Searcy told us we are able to do what we want to do because of you guys, we feed off your energy. That is good and they are going to step up.

On RG

You have to take time as a leader, it is different from asking Shaq for help to guys asking me for help. Everyone knows each position and we teach them, you tell them the why, Shamire Devine and Eason Fromayan are eager to learn what to do and why.
