Gamecocks using grad asst. to shore up QB room
South Carolina graduate assistant coach Zeb Noland has been added to the active roster after starting quarterback Luke Doty suffered a sprained ankle that has put his status to begin the season in question.
Their projected starter, Luke Doty, has a sprained ankle and is questionable for the season opener. Behind him they have:
Jason Brown - RS Sr. transfer from St. Francis (FCS)
Connor Jordan - RS So. former walk-on, was scout team QB last year
Colten Gauthier - True Freshman who EE'd in January.
