My sophomore son and his fishing partner were set for the 1st tournament of the year at Lake Seminole.
I wasn't looking forward to trailering his boat 5 hours from Savannah on icy roads - and I damn sure wasn't looking forward to sitting in the boat (a parent has to be on board but can't fish) in frigid temps all day tomorrow. They cancelled it, leaving 3 qualifying tournaments before the championship in May.
He's excited as hell even though the vast majority of his experience is salt water - he'd be a 5-star recruit for sure.
