OT: Game day Radio Question

So, honest question. Back in the day (yes, I am a boomer) I could take my radio into the stadium and listen to the local play by play.
I have tried doing this with my iPhone and it is worthless with the play by play always being behind the action.

Is there nothing that would work? I have tried all three broadcast stations and the GT app. Nothing works.
Frustrating...
