Ok quick thread on NIL since it’s becoming a hot topic right now with Brent getting the job and the portal about to open.
We’ll have a major announcement within the next week about a unified NIL platform to benefit GT student athletes. The biggest piece will be that we have an AD who will actually endorse the platform. So stay tuned on that. That announcement could come from @GTDSP or me, or perhaps from @Kelly Quinlan
In the meantime, if people are determined to participate in providing NIL benefits to our student athletes, you can go to SwarmtheATL.com and make a one time contribution or donation. Do not sign up for a membership.
We will be making some nice payments to approx 20 student athletes within the next couple of weeks. As I mentioned in another thread, while we will make payments to multiple programs, this will primarily support key members of the football and MBB teams. So if you choose to make a contribution to Swarm prior to our big announcement, please indicate in the note section when you make your contribution “Key Athletes” and you can support our efforts to those individuals.
