The Georgia Tech staff was out seeing players over the past month with the summer high school basketball circuit really heating up in June with AAU tournaments, high school summer leagues, etc.
One of the players the staff was impressed by was 6-foot-6 combo guard/small forward Kmajay Jenkins from Westside High in Anderson, S.C. They offered him this past weekend to get into the mix with other Power-4 offers so far of Clemson, South Carolina and Oklahoma State. Jenkins said he was excited to get the GT offer, which was one he has been waiting on.
"I was definitely very excited to hear from Georgia Tech. It is a top school academically and has always been a great basketball program. I look forward to talking to Coach Damon and getting down for some games this year. Since I will be playing over at OTE, I should get to see the team and the coaching staff a good bit."
As Kmajay mentioned, he will be playing his prep ball right down the road from Tech at OTE this coming season so plenty of opportunities for the Tech staff to make the short trip to check in on him and see him compete. Kmajay has played his AAU ball the past couple years with the Atlanta Celtics.
He said other programs that have been in contact with him are Louisville, Georgetown, Houston, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia and Nebraska.
