Do you think Dennis will be able to play at UCf or something? Anywhere?

Maybe, he is in good academic standing so he could go play somewhere. He needs to straighten himself out though otherwise he will end up with the same problems elsewhere.

What was Quaides injury again? Do you think he will play this year?

Foot tendon, basically Lisfranc injury and he could play this year, but I expect unless there are injuries he will redshirt for his own sake.

If you had to guess who gets #3 on the team, who would it be? Marcus Marshall?

No, I would bet it will go to a kid already on the roster. The low numbers are fought for a lot.

Lamont Simmons?

We shall see, a lot goes into transferring, GT has a hard time getting kids past the hill. His grades are so bad he may have to go JUCO from what I'm hearing.

Two questions regarding Tyler Simmons:
(1) is his offer from Alabama commitable?

Yes, they just offered him.

(2) if he commits to Alabama, how many days until he is a 4* recruit?

LOL, Bama typically has a 1/4 or 1/5 of their class be three-stars, the rankings are not quite as slanted as you all think... He was at our camps so Woody would have a hard time selling a bump for him even if he wanted to.

1) Repeated references here to how GT tests for banned substances differently from most other ACC programs. For those of us classified by GTEwalt as "old fogies", please give an explanation of a) what our process is and b) what the dynamics are which prevent all programs adhering to a minimum standard?

There are two types of tests, NCAA tests and school testing. GT is more vigorous with testing kids especially ones who have failed before. Other schools test a lot as well. That is why Mike Sawyers got booted from Tenn and several got booted from UGA last year. GT just got more strict about repeat offenders and staying on them.

2) You said Pruitt would be gone by year's end either to jump to a HC safe haven or that Richt would fire him. A) Is there any real discord within Dawgdom which benefits our recruiting? B) Any recruiting benefit to us from the UNC scandal?

The UNC scandal will have more of an impact. There are not a lot of guys UGA and GT are in the same boat with other than Baylen Buchanan right now. GT and UNC tend to cross paths much more in recruiting so there could be some benefit there for 2016 and more so 2017 and 2018.

3) Mailbag a week or two ago you said the two positions where GT is "thinnest" post 2016 are DT and CB. Any "big fish" at those positions coming to June camps? You said getting Robbie Robinson to come would be big. RR or "big fish" queuing up?

DT wise, not really, GT has a few guys targeted and one committed in Chris Martin. They only need one more DT. CB wise, Robinson, Buchanan and a couple of others are pretty interested. It would take a pretty impressive performance from a kid at camp to jump in front of those kids.

4) Asked which 5 players (excluding JT) it'd hurt most to lose via injury, you identified Burden, Gotsis, JHD, PJ and Jeune. How close did Andrews come to being in that 5? Top 10?

He was around 20, he isn't Perkins or even Hill to me, he was an above average guy who sometimes played really well on big stages. You have to realize that guys like Lynch and Searcy are just as talented if not more so. He was getting pushed like crazy before he got booted and dropped down the depth chart even before he was kicked off the team.

Based on what you saw either live or from their HS film, which true frosh AB prospect is your money on to pick up the nuances of the position quickest and contribute solidly right out of the gate? Should be plenty of opportunity there for the young'ins.

I think Nathan Cottrell will play this fall and I think he will be on special teams as well. I think either TaQuon Marshall or Omahri Jarrett will play too.

Can you give us any insight into how the big money donors/season ticket holders reacted when M-Bob decided to keep CBG? Would you describe the whole situation as just kind of awkward on the day to day? CBG is not a dumb guy, so he has to know he was pretty much on his way out, but lack of funds saved him.

They didn't care, that is why he could not raise the capital to fire Gregory. Most of the big money alums saw that MBob signed the extension that put him in that situation in the first place and the school president liked Gregory enough to give him more time thus not allowing them to tap into the emergency fund. Gregory needs to fix this to keep his own career going so he isn't banished to Campbell University or Northwest Oklahoma or something. It is a weird situation and MBob should have had assurances on the money front before deciding to fire Gregory, which he did. Then to not have the juice to do so and then screw Gregory over by keeping him.

He should have just said immediately after the ACCT that Gregory is our coach, that would have ended all of this and not cut the legs off GT in recruiting. It is the single worst handled coaching situation I've been a witness to in my 15 years doing this.

Given the transfer of Patrick Skov and the sudden emergence of Marcus Allen, how probable is Marcus Marshall or Mikell Lands-Davis to receive an opportunity to get on the field at ABack?

It is possible, but I think it would take one of them stepping way ahead early in the competition to happen. They can crosstrain guys like they did with Charles Perkins when he got in and both MLD and Marshall can play either.

Great update on Cottrell. Do you know if the same progress is being made by any of the three incoming WR's?

Philpott is up in weight, Howell is already been on campus and has been working with Sisk, but he is the most raw of the three. Brad Stewart I am talking to next week for a story.

I have never seen a regime that consistently every year starts behind the eight ball because of injuries and attrition. It's every year I am like finally we'vegot the guys and then quickly nevermind. Have you ever in all your years seen anything like it?

Every school deals with it except for a few. UGA has typically done it then they oversigned by a lot. They sit at 87 today with only one guy Jacob Parks probable to leave, so that is a big problem to have and much worse than being under. GT is under by one ship basically right now and that one should go to Isaih Willis since he will be in the two deep at least for the first part of the season. USC is back at 85 and is at 73 with Lamont Simmons leaving for example.

Any News on how KirVonte Benson's knee is doing?

He is doing well, will be in January enrollee along with Jaylend Ratliffe to push back his clock a little.
