So I decided to look this up based on the question we got asked a lot about possibilities and the left tackle spot

Here is the entire list of starting LTs in the portal for 2022 and where they ended up.

Starting LTs in the portal this cycle

Tyler Steen (Vandy) went to Alabama
Miles Frazier (FIU) went to LSU
Cole Spencer (WKU) went to Texas Tech with his coaches
J.D. DiRenzo (Sacred Heart) to Rutgers
Raiqwon O'Neal (Rutgers) to UCLA
Bobby Haskins (UVA) to USC

If you threw in RTs you'd have another six or seven guys but they all went to similar destinations or cannot play LT anyway.

GT attempted to recruit several of them like Miles Frazier or Cole Spencer, but it is hard to fault these young men on their choices either. The Sacred Heart kid was from South Jersey so he went to Rutgers and that is the only choice that seems odd.

In my research, I noticed something interesting about one of GT's opponents this season.

Btw UVA lost their entire starting OL and sixth OL to the transfer portal this cycle except for the one guy who went to the NFL.

starting RG Chris Glaser signed with the Kansas City Chiefs
starting LG Ryan Nelson exhausted his eligibility
starting center Olusegun Oluwatimi went to Michigan
starting RT Ryan Swoboda went to UCF
starting LT Bobby Haskins went to the real USC
their backup guard/tackle Joe Bissinger transferred to SMU.

They return three guys who've played with a total of 214 snaps last year all from one guy Jonathan Leech who played against GT at RT and notched half of those snaps in that one game.
