The basic conclusion of this video is that recruiting rankings are designed to predict a player's likelihood of being drafted, but aren't particularly good at it...especially at the high-end of performance (and for QBs, OL & LBs). And they aren't that good at predicting who will be an impact player in college (particularly for the OL.)
But there is a caveat...no team has won a college championship in the last couple of decades without at least one top ten recruiting class. Fascinating.
