GT won a game they had to win from Uva this afternoon. Behind four home runs, Tech won a 5-4 thriller. Gorst, our closer, came in to relieve Jake Lee in the fourth inning with us trailing 2-4. Craport and Pabst hit homers in the fifth, Pabst with one man on base, to take a 5-4 lead. Gorst pitched a career high 6 1/3 innings on ninety pitches to get the win. He struck out two men with men on second and third to end the eigth, and struck out the final man in the ninth.
I was limp at the end of the game. It held very high importance for the post season chances for our guys. Now they have to do well against BC on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. There is also the game with Ugag that we always lose at Turner Field. The three ACC games are the most important in regards to the ACC Tourney and beyond.
