G.T. 2018, 19, 20, 21, 22.WBB Recruiting, (5)Commitments.

I think post players have to be the focus of the '18 and '19 classes. Sure, we'll take any blue chip backcourt and wings who want to be Jackets. But, for the '18-'19 season we currently only have Fortune and Guimaraes who will be seniors that season and Diouf, who will be a Jr. Transfers can happen of course, but hoping Coach Jo will be able to attract some serious talent in the paint.

Jessika Carter and/or Olivia Nelson-Ododa would look great in W&G in that '18 class...and, they'll each have wide open opportunities for significant playing time early in their careers.

Fingers crossed.

(Coach Jo and staff continue to do a great job recruiting, so no real worries...at a place that lacks support as compared to who we go up against...she knows how to sell the program, Tech, the ACC, and Atlanta...you never hear anything negative coming out of her mouth or whining or making excuses...breath of fresh air...we are lucky to have her)

Cameron Swartz ('18) no longer has Tech listed on her profile at espn.com, FWIW.

No worries and no surprise. We are pretty well-stocked in the backcourt and may get even stronger between now and 2018 via some other recruits we have eyes on.

Does GT WBB have a new verbal commit?

Which signing class are you referencing?

We have 3 for 2017 that BFL has listed in that thread. We have 1 for '18 and 1 for '19 which are the 2 he has accounted for in this thread.

She visited VT this past weekend, before that Belmont and Oct. 1, 2, Swartz was at Michigan. Based on what the local chatter NWest of the city has on it and GTJT with his enumeration abilities, I'm thinking we are satisfied with pure shooters for 2018.

2018-
Jordan Nixon – 2018 – 5-8 – Point Guard – New York, New York

Another performance causing a stir among the basketball peripheral in the gym was the one offered up by this dynamic point guard. Nixon has the tools to be a one man wrecking ball in transition or in the halfcourt. Be slow to close out and she’s going to knock it down from virtually anywhere on the floor. Over play her and she’s going by with some sharply honed ballhandling. Her crossover gets defenders leaning and she giving them no room to recover as she goes by. Off penetration she can pull up or take it all the way to the rim. Throw in a competitive mentality and assertive on ball defense and Nixon is one you can’t ignore.
