Final 2025 Rivals250 revealed

Once again look at what happened. Tae didn’t drop they moved others ahead of him. For 15 years I’ve tried to explain how this works.

A guy dropping is when you see someone go down like 20+ spots. Jamie Ffrench who is committed to Texas did.

There are like six guys who jumped 50-60 spots and that is why Tae moved down. It ain’t a ****ing GT thing either.
Kelly I love you but that’s horse shit.

Here are the big movers that moved Tae Harris down that was pretty much it. I have no clue about any of these dudes myself because I don't remember seeing them or whatever.

WR Taliq Lockett (Texas) +32
DT- Amare Adams (Clemson) +80
WR- Quincy Porter (Ohio State) +83
DT- Malik Autry (Auburn) +75
QB- KJ Lacey (Texas) +26
DE- Iose Epensa (Iowa) +68
CB- Bryce Fitzgerald (Miami) +25
Looking at the programs you know why KQ. More eyes are on their prospects than ours other than the Iowa guy who is a legacy recruit.

Tae Harris dropped 11 spots after killing it at camps. Ok.
Yup.. done with the Rivals anti GT/ACC bias. Out of your hands KQ but sad you are associated with such a biased “media” organization. Just call it the SEC/BIG recruiting site. If anything ever really drives me away it’s this bull$. Does anyone that owns a non P2 rivals site say anything to corporate how it’s hurting them or they don’t give a crap. And before someone says.. well they added Penson.. he should have been in there a long time ago.

I see what you are saying but is still a bit silly. Outside of the top 10 players in the country I don’t think there’s a huge difference from 11-50 so to move someone up you’d have to really know they are better and I find it hard to believe anyone could give a real explanation as to how those players are now better than Tae. I’ll also add Rivals does rankings during the year so I doubt those players just somehow turned out to get that much better to move them above Tae. Jmo though.

JOL: I’m not sure about Tae, did you see that play where he didn’t make the interception?

Also JOL: How could they drop Tae down? It’s a conspiracy!

Because he’s on a team that doesn’t get much revenue/subs for Rivals and TOSs. The ratings system caters to the factories and blue bloods. No one will convince me otherwise. Total clown show.

I understand everyone's frustrations, but if you guys think On3 or 247 are any less tilted toward the SEC/Jawja than Rivals is, you are kidding yourselves.

The mighty SEC and now the Big Ten are both held in higher regard at the moment and such is the weight of getting an offer from the big-time programs in those conferences. It's up to the ACC/Georgia Tech to change that opinion.

It was interesting the amount of national coverage Tae got during the All-Star/Hawaii week (I even think Gorney gave him the "Game wrecker" tag) with zero forward movement. Meanwhile guys like Deuce Knight got additional stars. I wish they(Rivals) publicized their logic driving these movements.

Sorry sir, but according to the JOLer recruiting rankings, we’ve had an average of 16 4 stars and 2 5 stars for the last 20 years. It’s shocking that we haven’t looked as big and athletic as the big boys over that time span. JOLers have been right all of these years, the results on the field are just an anomaly.

I'm not in the meetings so I have no clue what is going on to be honest. It is weird seeing how different the rankings are for GT kids across the sites though.

Malik Autry jumping 75 spots. Then Quincy Poter jumping 83 spots. Then Amare Adams jumps 80 spots tells me 1 of 2 things. They guys who actually make the ratings are extremely biased towards the end of the year towards some kids, or these schools paid to have the players bumped in ratings to make sure the optics are solid.

Tae Harris falling 12 spots means 12 kids not only performed better than he did at these all star games, but blew him enough out of the water to unseat him out of his original ranking. I refuse to believe anyone put that much better film out this late in the game short of breaking records.

I can never be convinced that schools don't pay for optics or there are biased ratings depending on where they are attending. The age old thinking is, if a blue blood wanted them they could have them. So if they didn't get them then they must know something the talent evaluators don't know so they drop them in the rankings. Not trusting their own assessment and saying, "maybe this kid really wants to play for a B level school and be top dog."

This. 100% this.

Paid optics by the schools.

Hell, I'd pay these ratings sites to give them horrible ratings until the very end LOL Go from the 75th ranked class to top 15 every year LOL

LOL, no one is paying to move kids around. That is just silly.

Do On3 & 247 also employ the referees for our games?...asking for a friend

Optics are half the battle. SEC has paid a ton of money on optics/media. Their investment in optics and advertising is what created their monopoly. ESPN forcing broadcasters to push an "SEC is mighty" agenda. Full covered optics can cover half the lies.

If I was the SEC and Big10 I would have Rivals, 247 & On3 on my payroll. Telling them, if our guys want them they are rated the best. That will push the narrative that the "better" kids are going to these schools no matter what.

There is a narrative going around now about Tae Harris, that he jumped from one ACC school to another because the big 2 didn't want him. We know that's not true, but that stuff resonates to some kids, people and HS programs.

Wait people were unsure about Tae on here?
I'm not sure people were unsure about Tae on here, but I do remember having a semi-argument with people on Signing Day about Tae or Petty being our highest rated recruit and why I chose to go to Tae's signing and not Petty's (which I didn't because we were already at Petty's commitment and several of his games his senior season).

The better question is, with all the praise and making lists from the All Star games, why didn't Tae move up? Not only shouldn't he have dropped, he likely should have moved up a few spots....but we know GT won't get that love like the bluebloods do.

Rinse & Repeat. Every year.

Who cares people. Just win. Just. Win. I give 2 shits about rankings. I don’t want a recruiting championship. I want a Championship on the field. Just win and all that stupid shit changes. You wanna change the narrative? Just win.

We get the same song and dance every year. Nobody is blaming you Kelly and I don't think anybody thinks it's Rivals-specific either. It happens at all recruiting services. But there are several guys here that prove it makes no sense unless it's a straight up bias to where you are committed. The last rankings date was 11/29/24, when most everybody was done playing for the season unless they were in the semifinals of state playoffs.

Kaliq Lockett - last HS game 11/15, ranked 65th on 7/25, ranked 51st on 11/29, jumped 32 spots to 19th yesterday. Played in Navy All-American game where I can't find any stats for him. Committed to Texas.

Amare Adams - last HS game 12/13, ranked 100th on 7/25, ranked 111th on 11/29, jumped 80 spots to 11th yesterday. So he had 2 games after the last ranking in November. He went DOWN in rankings from pre-season to end of regular season, but jumped 80 spots after that? Committed to Clemson.

Quincy Porter - last HS game 11/29, ranked 93rd on 7/25, ranked 120th on 11/29, jumped 83 spots to 37th yesterday. His last game was the day of the last ranking in November. He went DOWN in rankings from pre-season to end of regular season, but jumped 83 spots after that? Committed to Ohio State.

Malik Autry - last HS game 11/15, ranked 157th on 7/25, ranked 113th on 11/29, jumped 75 spots to 38th yesterday. His last game was 11/15. He did increase his rank from beginning of season to end, but what did he do AFTER his season was over to jump 75 more spots? Committed to Auburn.

KJ Lacey - last HS game was 12/6, ranked 25th on 7/25, ranked 71st on 11/29, jumped 26 spots to 45th yesterday. His rank dropped from pre-season to end of season. He had 2 games after that end of season re-rank. What did he do in 2 games to jump 26 spots? (lost his last game btw). Committed to Texas.

Iose Epenesa - last HS game was 11/1, ranked 84th on 7/25, ranked 115th on 11/29, jumped 68 spots to 47th yesterday. Another one who's preseason to post season ranking dropped, yet then makes a massive jump for no reason. Committed to Iowa.

I just don't buy the "other guys moved up" excuse anymore. Tae was #43, if other guys just moved up, then why did the #39, 40, 44, and 46 players not change ranking at all? There are also guys above him now that only moved up 7 or 8 spots... that wouldn't have put them ahead of him if they were merely moving up a little. The guys behind the rankings moved Tae down purposefully. What that purpose is we don't know but there is no denying it. It's one thing for the guy to just be out there waiting on Spring enrollment like a lot of kids, but he played in TWO all-star games, and was highly talked about in both, yet that isn't even enough for him to even stay put in the rankings.

One thing I did notice about all the above recruits that got major bumps.... they were ranked much higher in other services than Rivals. Did Rivals give them all the bump just to align themselves more with the other services??
