Yellow Jackets and Tigers will now battle at 7 p.m.

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball’s Tuesday, April 11 showdown against longtime SEC foe Auburn has been selected by ESPN to air live nationally on ACC Network, moving the first pitch time to 7 p.m., ESPN and the ACC announced on Monday.

The game will be called by ESPN’s John Schriffen (play-by-play) and Chris Burke (analyst) on ACC Network and can also be heard on the Georgia Tech Sports Network with Wiley Ballard and Colin Lacy on 91.1 FM in Atlanta and nationally on the GT Gameday App.

The first meeting between the two teams this season was a classic, going back and forth for 12 innings before the Tigers ultimately took the game 12-11. Auburn is Georgia Tech’s second-most common opponent with 244 games played since 1897. Last year was the first year since 2014 that the two teams didn’t face each other.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a tough series against then-No. 13 North Carolina, where it had to play the entire three-game series in 24 hours due to inclement weather in the Georgia area over the weekend.
