David Teel takes a look at ACC revenues

Of those ACC schools listed, Ga Tech has by far the lowest amount of ticket sales.

Two questions:
1.Can you tell if seat licenses are counted in the totals consistently across the comparison?
2. Does the fact that Ga Tech is the only one listed with pro teams in its home city impact the ticket sales significantly?

I'm only guessing here:
1) seat licenses would not count . But I'm only guessing.
2) no we are talking about the falcons who cares about them?

See mate, I told you we are headed to the Big 10... http://hawkeyenation.com/2016/b1g-money-big-ten

:p

See Atlanta at #9? Yeah, Georgia Tech is located in Atlanta. It’s also in the heart of SEC Country. It’s also a great academic institution, one the ‘academia’ side of Big Ten universities. But don’t short shrift the ‘B1G in the Heart of Dixie’ side benefit here. Still, Georgia Tech would be a fantastic addition to the Big Ten in terms of television value and expanding into the belly of the SEC beast.

Coincidentally, this is written by an Iowa fan. The same school I have already been starting to hate in prep for joining the Big 10. To Hell With Iowa!!

I've heard the Big Ten prints money and we are poor. Not homeless. Just poor. We have a lot of shiny new buildings. But, poor. We pay a lot of people to not coach here. We don't sell a lot of tickets in a 4-million population metropolis. We're poor. Begging for money. Macaroni and cheese is all for dinner poor. The blue box kind. No bread to go along with it. Meat? Ha. That's for those other guys. We are the working poor. Respect us. We could just kill somebody and get better meals at least 3 times a day in prison. But, no. We refuse. We have higher standards. We'd rather be poor.

Along comes a Sugar Daddy named Jim Delany. I say we whore ourselves out and tell the cheating ACC to kiss our poor aces. Make the move to the Big Ten. We need an upgrade to our balance sheet. Will drive the SEC nuts to have the Big Ten in town. That alone should be fun to watch.

Just to obscure this topic with fact for a moment, the ACC distributed more money in the previous school year to its members than either the Big 12 or Pac 12. Now back to your regularly scheduled speculation.

Facts? We don't need no stinkin' facts. This is Kooky World. I notice you didn't say SEC or Big Ten there now did ya? Huh? Did ya? Huh? Huh?

TO HELL WITH IOWA!!!

Learn it, live it, love it.

DRUNK BUDDIES

And at least for the next few years, the basketball distribution to the ACC is going to go up as well.

Won't matter. Georgia Tech Athletics will be poor. We will have every excuse in the world for why we should suck. Poor I tell ya. Poor! But hey, at least we have a bunch of shiny new buildings to put our poor product in, eh?

Wait until DRad gets done with Clemson. They will outshine and out debt everyone.

Hey now, I'm a sober lesbian. Watch it Big Ten Dollar Bub!

PS-Why did they call that The Good Word? We were all rooting for him to set St. John's back to the Stone Age.

back to the basketball payments...

I remember reading that next year's units will be worth just over $260,000 each. How many units did the ACC earn? 24? $6.2M over the next 5 years. over $31M total, plus the other units earned in the previous years. Pretty nice revenue for the basketball programs.

Is there a site anywhere that summarizes the units earned by each league?
