Milton (Ga.) OL Tyler Watson is on campus today. GT wants him to camp this weekend for an offer. He played mainly DL last season. He as a pretty long list of mid-major offers already.
Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) CB Baylen Buchanan had a great visit to GT yesterday. His dad former Falcon Ray Buchanan likes UGA a little more than GT, but the kid is torn between the two in-state schools and is using Louisville as a placeholder right now. He is a better fit at GT and the kid knows it, so he could end up with the Jackets.
Sandy Creek (Ga.) CB Korey Banks talked with me last night and said CTR is recruiting him as a CB and that GT is close to offering. He said CTR told him he would let him know where he stands later this week. They would like for him to camp, but I'm not sure if that is going to happen.
GT staff feels pretty good about Steve Dolphus after his visit, it will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds because he is very new to the whole process. GT leads for Jailyn Ingram and Christian Booker, so either one of them could jump in front of Dolphus and steal his spot.
I think GT totally botched the recruitment of Newton (Ga.) 2017 RB Kurt Taylor. UGA is now showing some serious interest and will probably offer him this summer. Big write up on him yesterday with an interview with his dad. Kid was a no brainer offer for GT and they didn't pull the trigger when they could have locked him up early like Will Bryan.
