CPJ
- a lot of big eyes from the new guys with the pace of practice
- 104 of 105 out there today...one out sick (105 is max for early August)
- 2 QB's in one huddle and 2 in the other; Tobias will get some in the 2nd huddle
- They will start determining spot of new OL's when they get pads on; same with new DB/LB's
- Matthew Jordan looked ok...just a little rusty; His foot is 100%...MJ said he did not even notice it.
- Not sure who the offensive leaders will be
- He is really impressed with how the starting OL's look....in great shape
- Scott Morgan will continue to get some reps at C so he can be the back-up. It would still be Andrew Marshall today.
- Lynch seemed fine as well
- Devine and Adams both lost some weight, but both are still big
- All you see is movement skills and athleticism in shells...but if they do not like contact it does not matter...lots of guys look good in shorts then not in pads
- spent 30 minutes on special teams...mostly punting. Tomorrow will be mostly kicking
- Matthew Jordan may hold for kicks...the kicker helps decide the holder
- they will have 26 of the allotted 29 practices...he said we have never used 29 and most teams do not.
- First two weeks is just working on ourselves...not Tennessee
- team attitude seems good
- going into camp after a good season is no different than a bad season....off season is easier after a good season because of outside influences
- He and Coach Huff work together on voting in the Coaches Poll. He see's every one of them before it is turned in.
