Saturday got away from me with yardwork and several other things so I didn't have to to get together a full Countdown story for today, but I came up with a few notable No. 69s from Georgia Tech.
Dan Dyke
-Punter from 1999-2022 coming to GT from Florida
-Started his career as No. 69 before switching to No. 30 (all pictures I found of him were in 30)
-Academic All-American four straight years
-Tried to walk on his first year at Tech and didn't make the team, then came back in 1999 after getting a call to report to George O'Leary's office prior to spring ball
-All-ACC his final two years
-Finished his career second all-time in yard per punt average behind Rodney Williams (Later Durant Brooks beat both their career averages)
-Inducted into GT Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015
Russell Freeman
-OL from 1987-1991 coming to GT from Pennsylvania
-Part of the 1990 national championship team
-Finished his degree from Tech in 1992
-Went undrafted in the NFL Draft in 1992 but went on to play three seasons for the Denver Broncos and one season for the Oakland Raiders
-Played in 58 games in his four-year NFL career, starting 39 of those
-Sadly passed away in 2021 at the young age of 52
