Gardner came to Tech in the 2004 class alongside high school teammate at Sandy Creek, Calvin Johnson, but proved to be an invaluable member of the Jackets' offensive line the next several seasons, starting an unbelievable 48 straight games and earning two First-Team All-ACC nods before a long NFL career.
