A lot of people hated the triple option as an offensive strategy for various reasons. If I had to watch the slow mesh week after week, I would (figuratively) gouge my eyes out. As a running back, most want to be gaining speed and velocity as they hit the line. The slow mesh assumes a hole will open up, the RB will see it and the line will continue to hold their blocks. When the Deacs had Sam Hartman, they had a legit passer as well. Things will get tougher for the Deacs, in my opinion, as GT has shown how to stifle that offense.
