Another ultra-close match so far between Italy and USA in MVB. Italy takes the 1st set 30-28. USA takes the 2nd set 28-26. Great stuff.

Wow! A stunned USA team had the match in great shape in Set #4 only to see the Italians come storming back and then with the match tied 22-22...Italy gets 3 straight aces from their ace. Great great stuff.
2 hours into this match. Tied 2-2 and going to the final set #5 now. Amazing stuff going on for anybody who enjoys watching volleyball.

Chaunte Lowe in action right now in the high jump finals. She cleared the initial height of 1.88m on her first try (with relative ease).

...if the United States WOMEN were a nation of their own, they would've tied for 2nd place in the overall medal count.
That's impressive. It also is a statement to how opportunities for women in the U.S. are far more abundant than in many other countries as well as the infrastructure for them to succeed athletically is about as good - and, in fact better - than anywhere else.

Unfortunately a lot of people still think the US needs to change and become more like the rest of the world.
