Team Notes

  • Georgia Tech fell to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
  • Georgia Tech has alternated losses and wins over the first seven games of the season.
  • The loss was Georgia Tech’s fourth-straight ACC home defeat.
  • Georgia Tech dropped to 7-5 all-time against Boston College with its third-straight loss to BC.
  • r-So. QB Haynes King’s 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was Georgia Tech’s longest play of the season (prev.: 67-yard run by r-So. RB Jamal Haynes vs. South Carolina State – Sept. 9).


Individual Notes


  • r-So. QB Haynes King’s 150 rushing yards were a career high (prev.: 53 at Louisville – Sept. 1 and 53 at Wake Forest – Sept. 23).
  • King’s 150 rushing yards were the most by a Yellow Jacket since Hassan Hall had 157 rushing yards against Pittsburgh on Oct. 1, 2022 and the most by a Yellow Jacket quarterback since Tobias Oliver had 215 rushing yards at Virginia Tech on Oct. 25, 2018.
  • King’s 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the longest rush of his career (prev.: 35 at Wake Forest – Sept. 23).
  • King’s 71-yard touchdown run was the longest rush by a Georgia Tech QB since TaQuon Marshall’s 78-yard touchdown run vs. Virginia on Nov. 4, 2017.
  • King has thrown at least one touchdown pass in each of Georgia Tech’s seven games this season. His 17 touchdown passes are tied for the most ever by a GT QB through the first seven games of the season.
  • r-So. DB Ahmari Harvey’s third-quarter interception, which set up King’s touchdown run, was Harvey’s second INT in as many games. His first-career INT at No. 17 Miami (Oct. 7) also set up a Georgia Tech touchdown.
  • Jr. WR Avery Boyd’s 19-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter came was the fourth reception and second touchdown of his career (prev. TD: 14 yds. at Ole Miss – Sept. 16).
  • r-So. RB Jamal Haynes 16-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was his third touchdown run in the last four games and team-leading fourth overall of the season.
