Is it the Bills' that have so many injuries in the defensive backfield right now?
Not sure about the Bills. I do know this report as a preview of last night's game between the Bills and Browns advises Cleveland had 8 DB's sidelined due to various injuries... http://dawgpounddaily.com/2015/08/2...ffalo-bills-preseason-game-time-channel-info/
Speaking of the Bills, when I first started wagering on games about 25 years ago (and not "for entertainment purposes only" ), some thought those of us who wagered on preseason games were loco. I get it, but when you had a head coach in Marv Levy who detested preseason, sat his starters pretty much the entire preseason, and essentially played 3rd stringers the entire way that he was going to eventually cut, it was a nice cash of the point spread ticket betting against the Bills during preseason about 80+% of the time. The flip side was former Vikings & Cardinals HC Denny Green who won straight up and ATS in preseason about 80% of the time so they were always great "play on" opportunities because Green played his starters deep into games with a mindset that he always wanted to set a winning tone with the guys he was going to depend on during the regular season.
When Visor Boy was HC of *MY* Redskins in his 2 years, he was a king in August. Then, reality hit when the games really started to mean something. But, cashing those ATS tickets in August was nice and then betting against *MY* Redskins (as tough as it was to do at times) made perfect sense once September arrived.
I am surprised that the book makers didn't see the same trends and adjust the lines....
Saturday's box score bullets:
Mario Butler (Bills): 0 solo tackles, 0 assists, 1 pass defended
TJ Barnes (Jets): no stats
Emmanuel Dieke (Dolphins): no stats
Kevin Cone (Dolphins): 1 catch, 2 targets, 3 yards
Brandon Watts (Vikings): 1 solo tackle, 0 assists
Rod Sweeting (Cowpunks): 2 solo tackles, 0 assists
Daryl Smith (Ravens): 4 solo tackles, 1 assist
Darren Waller (Ravens): 1 catch, 3 targets, 5 yards (note, after Steve Smith Sr. was ejected from the game late in the 1st quarter, Waller was the first one off the bench to take his position...I think this bodes well for his chances to make the 53 man roster)
Morgan Burnett (Packers): 5 solo tackles, 0 assists
Zach Laskey (Rams): no stats
Quayshawn Nealy (Seahawks): 1 solo tackle, 0 assists
Sneezy (Chargers): 1 solo tackle, 0 assists

Note: there are 2 preseason games Sunday to finish off Week 3 and there are no Jackets in either game
Thanks for the heads up, mate. Will be interesting to see if RG3 joins the cut list soon. I hope so (beyond sick of the drama), but I digress.
Wheeler may get picked up for someone in dire need of a run stopper.Philip Wheeler cut by the Niners
