Beesball Richard at beesball.com reported that rising sophomore Daniel Gooden has transferred out of Tech. He will head to Georgia Highlands College in Rome. Good luck to Daniel.

Also, only 10 days left for the Baltimore Orioles and 2nd round draft pick (and Tech signee) Jonathan Hughes to reach a deal. Beesball Richard advises the signing deadline is July 17 at 5pmET. Hughes' slotted salary amount is around $907K. You know Danny Hall has his fingers crossed to somehow get a nice surprise to his roster if Hughes unexpectedly falls in his lap.

Hate to hear the news about Gooden, sounds like academic issues if he's headed to Ga Highlands.

I'd be surprised to see Hughes turn down that money.
