The Jackets host five ACC opponents for Sunday games


THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech women’s basketball team will open the 2018-19 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule on the road before returning to The Flats to welcome a pair of perennial powerhouses in the league. The ACC announced the full conference women’s basketball schedules for all 15 members on Tuesday.

The ACC slate gets underway on Jan. 3 as the Jackets visit Boston College before Tech kicks off its opening homestand, hosting defending 2018 national champion Notre Dame on Jan. 6. The Duke Blue Devils also visit McCamish Pavilion on Jan. 10.

A pair of road matchups follow as Tech travels to Louisville (Jan. 13) and Clemson (Jan. 17). Following a two-game homestand welcoming Syracuse (Jan. 20) and NC State (Jan. 27), the Jackets close out the month at North Carolina on Jan. 31.

Tech will host three league opponents in McCamish Pavilion during February and will also hit the road for four matchups. The Jackets open the month making the return trip to Notre Dame on Feb. 3 before hosting Pittsburgh on Feb. 7.

A quick trip to Wake Forest (Feb. 10) precedes a two-game homestand for the Jackets when they host Virginia Tech (Feb. 17) and Clemson (Feb. 21). Tech plays its final two regular-season road games to close out the month, visiting Virginia (Feb. 24) and Miami (Feb. 28).

The Jackets conclude regular season play at home on March 3, welcoming Florida State for Senior Day.

SCHEDULE NOTES
* Of Tech’s 16 ACC contests, five will be televised on Regional Sports Network (RSN) with the remaining 11 games available on ACC Network Extra. The five RSN broadcasts include: Jan. 6 vs. Notre Dame, Feb. 3 at Notre Dame, Feb. 17 vs. Virginia Tech, Feb. 24 at Virginia and Feb. 28 at Miami.
* The ACC had 10 teams earn postseason berths last season, including eight teams reaching the NCAA Tournament (Duke, Florida State, Louisville, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Virginia). Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech each earned at-large WNIT berths.
* Tech opens the ACC slate on the road for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
* Tech will host five weekend Sunday opponents: Jan. 6 vs. Notre Dame, Jan. 20 vs. Syracuse, Jan. 27 vs. NC State, Feb. 17 vs. Virginia Tech and March 3 vs. Florida State.

Season tickets for the 2018-19 women’s basketball season are currently on sale. Ticket packages are available for $65 per seat and $150 for courtside seats (which sold out in 2017-18). Current men’s basketball season ticket holders can purchase women’s basketball season tickets at a discounted rate of $30 per seat.
