A commitment from Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland Count linebacker Jonathan Smith seemed like it was just around the corner a month or two ago but now he is shooting to commit before the first game of the season. North Carolina, Duke and Georgia Tech are the main three schools for him but Georgia, Michigan and Notre Dame are also involved. The in-state schools hold a slight edge but Smith is going to be at Georgia on Saturday for Dawg Night and is going to try to visit Michigan on Notre Dame and the same trip later this offseason.
