The recruiting classes had GT & Vandy ranked about even the last few years in talent. We know Miami has much better talent than us & Vandy, so what else do we hang our hat on?

Well Miami is better coached than Vandy its safe to say, & we play Miami every year so their players are used to playing against our system, so can't rely on that. Having them at home should help, but we don't seem to have any home field advantage as we lose at home quite regularly. So that's not it.

We looked like the GT 2015 team vs. Clemson, so we certainly don't have momentum. We have been relatively injury free, knock on wood, but I'm not 100% convinced our starters are good enough at this point in their career, to rely on our system being the difference.

However, we have stumbled across one interesting factoid that might make a difference. When I noticed that Vandy coach, Mason, had not coached against the TO that we run, his whole time at Vandy, I was pretty confident he didn't see it at Stanford. History was on our side when I saw that. Sure enough they didn't know how to stop us.

Well, now I read that Miami's new DC has also not played against our TO. I know CMR & their players have, but their defensive coaches don't appear to have. Maybe, just maybe, this swings the pendulum back in our direction.

Just searching for some positive.
