Ok. Maybe a little hyperbolic. Just a little. And I'm more than a little buzzed. But hear me out.

Haynes King was obviously not himself today. Despite being 100% on completions, he only did it on 6 attempts for 32 yards. It would have been completely understandable to keep him out one more week and try to get to bowl eligibility with one more attempt against a pretty bad NC State. The fact that he actually marched out there and did this is incredible. The fact that we also platooned our QBs throughout the game and won??? I'm struggling to remember when anybody has won a significant game swapping QBs in every other series, let alone within one. Key went all in on his chips on a game nobody expected us to win and pulled it off.

Yes - there were still bad timeouts. Yes - we still seemed to call some strange conservative calls while we were still ahead. But we had two injured QBs, our best two RBs out, and seemingly a dangerous uncalled targeting call on the ball holder every other play throughout the game - AND WE WON!

I think and hope Key can continue to improve and mature as a coach. The fact that we were able to pull this off with all of the mentioned issues makes me prouder to be a GT fan that I have been in quite a while. We could finish the season with 6 or 7 wins, but that's still immense progress after the clown I'm still excited for this team and figure we've got a puncher's chance in the remaining games of the season.

I mean... hey... we could end up 9-4, right?

P.S. Just an incredible performance by Hayes. I don't know that I've seen that kind of toughness since Nesbitt.
