Tech Tennis this week...NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 (May 19)

T-Babes
The #17 T-Babes travel to Columbia, SC, to face Princeton in their opener on Friday at 2pm. Princeton is ranked #39. The winner will likely face host, #13 South Carolina, on Saturday at 2pm. The winner of the South Carolina regional moves on to the Round of 16 at Tulsa next week opening on May 19, Thursday.

T-Dudes
The #33 T-Dudes travel to Los Angeles to face #44 Cal-Santa Barbara. The match with the Gauchos is scheduled to begin at 1pmET and there is apparently going to be some live streaming of the match (https://www.playsight.com/livestreaming) per rr.com. The winner will have the tall task of facing the #11 Southern Cal Trojans on their home court on Saturday at 4pmET. The Round of 16 for Men's Tennis is also at Tulsa and will begin on May 20, Friday.

Good luck to our two tennis teams in their quest to get to the fields of 16 on the road starting Friday.

T-Dudes dominate singles and win, 4-1. Advance to the Round of 32 and USC regional finale tomorrow at 4pmET against the host, Trojans.

T-Babes won the doubles point over Princeton and is currently in the process of finishing them off in singles.

Kudos to the T-Dudes for a good season. That program is on the rise. Not many athletic programs at Tech can say that. Eubanks may ultimately go down as the greatest men's tennis player in school history. Still has 2 years left and is already top 10 (may be top 5) in singles in the nation.

T-Babes should have been a host, IMO. But, not getting that designation perhaps served as additional motivation as they just ripped the Gamekooks. Scheduled to face Ohio State in Tulsa at 8pmET on Thursday night. The Buckeyes defeated our Babes early in the season 6-1 in Columbus, but this T-Babes team is an entirely different team now that it was then.

Note, 14 of the 16 Women's top seeds advanced. Only the T-Babes and Tejas (upset 9-seed Rutgers-Durham) are outside the top 16 seeds.
